The Library Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that works to support Manatee County's Libraries by raising private funds to supplement county tax support. We believe the Manatee County Public Libraries are vital to the success of our community. Our support strengthens the Libraries' ability to foster excellence today and tomorrow.

Our History
Since 1985, the Library Foundation, Inc. has been providing essential support to the Manatee County Public Library system to enable it to delight our community with its prize-winning free services. The goals of the Manatee County Public Library system are to nurture imagination, promote lifelong learning, and enrich the community. With the direct support of Manatee County, the Library system has been providing services since 1914.
